#MyBotanicaStory: From Client to Licensed Massage Therapist – Lindsay’s Story
I actually became a Massage Therapist because of an experience I had with Botanica.
My first visit was in 2008 for a massage and as soon I walked in the door, I felt warmed and welcomed by the receptionist. Never having had a massage or spa experience I was very nervous, and they immediately made me feel comfortable. When the therapist came to get me she was very calm and professional and her techniques made me feel so limber and relaxed. When I left there my perception of the entire spa industry changed and was so liberated I decided that same night I wanted to become a massage therapist myself.
In 2012 the Spa Director Natalie, who was a mutual friend, called me and asked if I’d like to be an on-call massage therapist. As soon as she asked I jumped on the opportunity because of my past experiences with this spa and the reputation that Botanica has.
Once I began working at Botanica I immediately knew I wanted to further my career here, so I went back to school and became a full specialist. I now do Semi-Permanent Lash Extensions, Skincare, Waxing, Nails and of course Massage Therapy.
Every day I wake up and come into a job that I love. Every day I make people feel good about themselves whether by taking their pain away with massage or making them feel beautiful with lash extensions. I create confidence within people and couldn’t be more fulfilled in what I do.
