Corina’s #My Botanica Story

When I first moved to Florida about 7 years ago, I had no idea what I was in store for. Being a true Canadian, the idea of a "beach trip" to me meant bringing blankets and a sweater so we could have a bonfire by the freezing ocean. I soon found out I would be going to the beach to cool off every weekend, and with that lifestyle comes the need for preparedness. And that's when I met Botanica!

In 2009, my good friend Christine (also a Botanica client of many years) brought me into the spa for a Brazilian wax. Again, I had no idea what I was in store for but the idea sounded unpleasant and I was actually terrified. But in the name of being a true ready-at-the-drop-of-a-hat Florida beachgoer, I went for it.

Yana did my first wax (and many thereafter) and, I swear, I've never seen hands move so fast in my life. When Yana went on maternity leave, Gen did my waxes and I was beyond impressed by their skill, agility and speed. It's an uncomfortable service to have done in more ways than one, but they make it as comfortable, quick and relaxing as is humanly possible.

Somewhere along the line I decided I would check out the other services they had to offer. I have done pedicures, manicures, massages, lash extensions, facials and body treatments at Botanica Day Spa and years later I'm still a regular client.

Botanica's massage therapists have saved me from my migraine headaches so, so many times. I've made countless last-minute appointments with Donni, Donna or Lindsay and each of these ladies are legit ‘headache whisperers’ in my book. It's not unusual for me to go from agonizing and unbearable pain to comfort and relaxation in the span of an hour. As an active person, there's nothing better than a massage therapist who can look at your body and, using a variety of different techniques, help you feel better, improve your range of motion, untangle a stubborn headache and help you prevent injury all in one session. That's a real therapeutic massage, and that's what you get at Botanica.

I've yet to find a day spa with a more relaxing, comfortable ambience or as genuine, caring and seasoned staff as you'll find at Botanica. It's my absolute happy place and I am a client for life.
