4 Steps to Thicker Looking Eyebrows
Until recent years, it seemed like the eyebrows were the most underappreciated and downplayed feature on our face. Remember in the ‘90s how super thin eyebrows were all the rage? Now, it’s all about the thicker the better! And at what lengths do we take to achieve the newest trend for our brows? You tweeze or wax them regularly to make sure you avoid looking like you have a unibrow, but other than that, you may not really put in any additional effort other than using eyebrow makeup to thicken or darken them.
Within the last few years, the beauty trends for full eyebrows have been the focal point that hasn’t shied away from the spotlight, nor does it plan on it. Everyone is on the hunt to find out how they can get fuller, thicker brows that will frame and highlight their faces like never before. If you’re still on the quest to great brows, here are some easy steps to help!
- Measure Your Eyebrows Out
Place a thin brow brush along the side of your nose to determine where your brows should ideally start. Then, angle the brush from the outside of your nose to the outer corner of your eye to figure out where your brow should probably end. The end of your brow should be at a 45-degree angle from the outside end of the eye.
- Brush and Fill In Your Brows
Using a spoolie brush, gently brush your brows upward. This will help you to see how you want to shape your eyebrows and will make it easier to spot any unevenness. Next, grab your pencil and softly fill-in any sparse areas using short, dash-like strokes. This approach helps to mimic the appearance of your natural brow hairs. Fill-in those areas lightly; you don’t want your brows to look noticeably colored in. This is probably a no-brainer, but make sure to choose a pencil color that best matches your brows.
- Define and Shape Your Eyebrows
Using an angled brush and similarly colored pressed powder, you can now define the shape of your brows evermore. You should aim for getting your brows to look as even as possible without overly filling in the inside corners or making the ends of the brows too harsh. Grab your spoolie brush again and gently brush through the brows again, blending the color and softening any harsh lines that may have been created.
- Set and Finish For Fabulous Brows
Now that your brows have been shaped and defined, you can set your look and hold the hairs in place by combing through them using a colored gel. Lastly, trace around the perimeter of the brows using translucent powder and a fluffy brush. This will make the edges of your brow sharp-looking and clean.
